I live far away from my hometown. Every year during my summer holidays, I have been fortunate enough to travel to my county as well as several other countries to visit my relatives. Ever since I was a child, I have always loved traveling in an airplane, unlike my other siblings. My parents were very well aware of my obsession with aircrafts, so they always booked me a window seat. The entire journey, I would just look outside and ask as many questions as I could. Everything about the aircraft fascinated me and I was always enthusiastic to learn more about it. This enthusiasm has led me here, to choose Aeronautical Engineering as my preferred course for my higher education.Throughout my school life, I haven’t always been the best student but I always actively participated in the Science Fair. Even as an infant, I loved building things. I have always wanted to be a creator, to do something that has never been done before, to be unique. In grade nine, My team and I made a hovercraft once and were rewarded the first prize for the Science Exhibition organized at Birla Public School. We also assembled a car with propellers on it which made it fly. These experiences not only taught me how to work under pressure but also helped me develop effective communication skills. In my childhood, I had a love for mechanical toys. I had a separate section only for my helicopters and quadcopters. I would sometimes take them apart and then reassemble them to make my very own creation. There are a lot of reasons why I want to study Aeronautical or Aerospace Engineering. As I said earlier, My obsession with aircrafts began when I was introduced to it as a child. With my Aeronautical Engineering degree, I can pursue diverse career paths in this field. The science behind Aeronautical Engineering is incredible. The whole concept of building flying machines that can transport you to the other side of the world in only a matter of hours is completely unbelievable. The earth is a massive planet. If someone was determined enough to walk around the entire planet or even drive around it with no stops, it would take them at least 4 months to reach their starting destination. I can say with full faith that the invention of airplanes has definitely led us to development.Listening to music, playing video games and Watching science fictional movies are some of my hobbies. Music allows to me to concentrate and think more. So whenever I’m in a strenuous situation I’ll just play a few tunes. Playing video games is a means of entertainment that I can enjoy both, by myself as well as with my friends. Watching science fictional movies motivates me as it gives us snapshots of how scientifically advanced the world can be. I also enjoy reading about time travel and Einstein’s Special Theory of Relativity. The qualification that British higher education will provide is highly reputable. With students in the United Kingdom encouraged to develop their potential while enjoying a full social life, it is no doubt one of the best places to pursue this course. It was extremely easy for me to search for the right University for me just by visiting the UCAS website.
