LITERATURE REVIEWA literature review was conducted to identify the related and supporting material to the theme, in the form of research papers and articles by scholars. The review was conducted mainly through Internet searches of online data. The ones identified are listed and described briefly in the following section.1.       “STARTUPS IN INDIA- RETROSPECT AND PROSPECTS”A study by Harminder Singh (PhD scholar, Department of Business Administration, Faculty of Management Study and Research, Jagannath University), and Manpreet Kaur (Assistant Professor, Department of management, Jagannath Institute of management studies). Their study defines the term ‘startup’, aims at ascertaining the scope of the growth of startups in India, comprehending the role of Investment Agencies in the growth, and also aims to identify the problems and challenges faced by those startups.2.      “START UP INDIA: CHALLENGES & OPPORTUNITIES”A study by Kamaldeep Kaur (AP Department of Management Gulzar Group of Institutes Ludhiana).This study aims to investigate the challenges and opportunities in the way of startups in India. It intends to explore the major difficulties, chances, etc. by using a literature based analysis.3.      “STARTUPS IN INDIA – A CURRENT OPINION”Paper by Dr. M. Ravi (Associate Professor in the Department of Human Genetics, Faculty of Biomedical Sciences, Technology and Research, Sri Ramachandra University).In this paper he discusses the definition of a startup, growth of Indian start-ups due to availability of large technology expertise and manpower resources. He quotes, “A combination of increasing population, growing internet usage and mobile penetration, growing economy, being a major mobile market and exponentially increasing online retailing set the stage for India to be one of the biggest startup destinations.”4.      “START-UP INDIA- ITS PERFORMANCE IN INDIAN ECONOMY”A research by S. Dharani Dharan, V. Praveen Kumar and P. Abhishek (Sri Krishna College of Technology, Kovaipudur)In the paper they have discussed the various schemes under start-up India and their performance in Indian economy. The objective of the study was to ascertain the impact of start-ups in india and to identify problems faced by them. They also gave a comparison of Indian startups with other countries. 5.      “ROLE OF SOCIAL MEDIA IN YOUTH ENTREPRENEURSHIP”A paper by Sreekuttan M. S. (Student, DB College Sasthamcottah Kollam)The paper talks about social media pros and cons for business, types of social media, social media tools  for youth entrepreneurs, advantages of social media for young entrepreneurs and also its drawbacks.
