Cloud computing assign to the wide range of
technologies, policies, and the main characteristics is to protect the data and applications ,also
associated with the infrastructure of cloud computing. whereas cloud computing
security address both the physical and local security and it is concern with
3 different service model such as software , platform and infrastructure . and
also concern with how these services are carried ( public, private and hybrid)
as we discussed above .
THERE ARE 3 DIFFERENT MODELS EACH OF THEM ARE
EXAPLAINED BELOW :
1: SAAS (SOFTWARE AS SERVICE )
is one of the 3 main class of cloud computing .In this software distribution
model the third party provide host application and make them available to the
customer across the internet . On the customer side ,it means no upfront
investment in server or software license .In SaaS there is no need for the
organization to install and run applications on their own computers or in their data research centers . This lead to
the elimination of expensive hardware assets, maintenance as well as
installation and support.
Other advantage of SaaS model include :
A: flexible payment :
Rather then purchasing the software customer can
easily subscribe to SAAS offering. Generally they pay for this service on the
monthly basis ,Customer can also discontinue SAAS at anytime to stop the recurring
B:Automatic updates :
User can also depend on SaaS model to automatically
performed update and patch management . This will help to reduce the burden on
in-house IT staff.
2. PAAS ( PLATFORM AS A SERVICE )
It is another model of cloud computing in which the
third party provider supply the hardware and software tools, mostly needed for
the application development for the customer across the internet .One can build
his/her own application that run on the provider’s infrastructure that support transactions,
uniform authentication and availability . The application built using PAAS are
offered as SAAS and consumed directly from the end-user’s web browers. This
gives the ability to integrate or consume third-party web service from the
other service platforms
IAAS (INFRASTRUCTURE AS A SERVICE )
as a service (IaaS) is a form of cloud
computing that provides virtualized computing resources online. It’s an
instant computing infrastructure which is managed over the internet. IaaS
is one of the three main categories of cloud computing services, other
than software as a service (SaaS) and platform as a
service (PaaS). It gives the users of the cloud more ?exibility to lower level
than other services. It provides even CPU clocks with OS level control to the
developers. E.g. – Amazon EC2 and S3.
In an IaaS model,
provider hosts the infrastructure components traditionally present in an
on-premises data center including servers, storage and networking hardware, as
well as the virtualization.
The IaaS provider
also supplies a range of services along with those infrastructure components. These
can include detailed billing, monitoring, log access, security, balancing the
load , as well as storage resiliency, such as backup, replication and recovery.
IaaS helps you
avoid the expense of buying and managing your own physical servers and other data
centre infrastructures. Each
resource is supplied as a separate service component and one only has to rent a
particular one for as long as he/she needs it.
